America’s leading voice on colorectal cancer control

The ACS NCCRT is an inclusive accessible organization dedicated to successfully convening and engaging public, private, and civic organizations and individuals committed to colorectal cancer prevention and early detection.

Our Mission

The ultimate goal of the American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (ACS NCCRT) is to reduce the incidence of and mortality from colorectal cancer (CRC) in the US through coordinated leadership, strategic planning, and advocacy.

The ACS NCCRT's Five Priorities

To ensure the ACS NCCRT can have the greatest impact in response to nationally identified needs, we’ve prioritized five areas of focus intended to guide roundtable members and partners in reducing mortality and mortality disparities related to CRC, in addition to prevention and early detection efforts. Advancing health equity to address cancer disparities is a core component to the work that we do to ensure that no one is disadvantaged in their fight against CRC.

By the Numbers

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. when men and women are combined,1 but it doesn’t have to be. Few preventive interventions are as reliably effective in reducing avoidable death as screening for colorectal cancer.
